Blood Meridian

Blood Meridian

Sour Red Ale

“Whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent.”

– Judge Holden, “Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West”

Blood Meridian is an imperceptibly multi-layered and nuanced red sour ale which might get you tongue-tied when trying to describe it. However it’s a perfect substitute to red wine to accompany an abundant meal.

Endspiel

Endspiel

Barleywine

The checkered battlefield is sparse. The last remaining pieces are preparing for the decisive battle. Every piece is a giant, every thought counts and every move is crucial.

This barleywine is like a chess endgame – a few different malts and hops, but the way they are put together and what role they play is more important than ever. The fresh hops grown in Estonia are the pawn that turned into a queen in the endgame.

Kazbek

Kazbek

International IPA

According to the legend, a local hero, called Pkharmat, brought fire from the gods on top of the Kazbek Mountain and gave it to the humans thus starting the nahi people. Pkharmat himself didn’t have much luck. The evil god Sela chased him down, chained to the Kazbek Mountain and every morning Ida the falcon comes to feast on his liver.

In addition to the fire, wild hops that are one of the ancestors to Kazbek hops, originate from the Caucasus. So now has it come with its lemon balm, mint and ripe papaya aromas to bring fire to the cold and plain world of the American hops. The Master Brewer has managed to stay on good terms with the falcons.

The Jaunty Rottweiler

The Jaunty Rottweiler

Rye doppelbock

Just like cheap horror movies have ruined the Rottweiler’s reputation, have cheap and strong lagers ruined the name of double bock. But just as every dog-person knows, the Rottweiler is a big-hearted and loyal companion, every beer enthusiast knows that double bock beer has a dignified history.

This strong, malty and sweetish beer was the „liquid bread“ that got the monks in the old days to survive the Lent happily. Carried by the theme of bread, this beer is rich in rye malt.

Blackmouth Cur

Blackmouth Cur

American Pale Ale

Blackmouth Cur is a tribute to American craft beer pioneers. This beer is inspired from the classic American beer style Pale Ale.

Today, this beer style is widespread, while it was frighteningly different in the late ’70s. It was stronger than the beers at the time and the used American hops were considered inappropriate for brewing due to their strong and distinctive taste.

Today, the Cascade hops have become a characteristic of American beer styles. This hop redolent of grapefruit and pine tree is the signature of Blackmouth Cur. The malty and slightly caramelly aftertaste from amber color, gorgeous froth, and Vienna malt is our bow to the master brewers who dared and wanted to reprioritize the beer taste.

Big India

Big India

West Coast IPA

India Pale Ale is one great traveller. This strong, hoppy beer was exported from England to India in the 18th century. Over time, exports decreased and, by the middle of the last century, this extraordinary beer style was in decline. In the 1980s, however, IPA was revived by American craft brewers and was reborn stronger, hoppier and is now more popular than ever. Rumours about this magnificent beer also made it to Europe and so the prodigal son made it back home.

Now, a piece of this crazy hoppy-history has reached you. This gold beer celebrates a wild party of Simcoe, Amarillo and Columbus hops, so there is little room for anything else.

Little India

Little India

Session IPA

Who does not like hops? One decent bomb of hops draws a beer friend as valerian draws a cat.

For a dose of hops, an expert turns its eyes to IPA or India Pale Ale. It is beer style, where the phrase “too much hops” does not exist. Unfortunately, IPA foresees a decent amount of alcohol, 7% or 8% and more. However, a strong beer is not suitable in every situation. An alcohol remains alcohol and smart beer friend handles it carefully.

What about one IPA being insanely hopped with a little bit of alcohol? That is what Little India is. A small beer with plenty of Columbus,Amarilloand Simcoe hops in it.

Back to Ethiopia

Back to Ethiopia

Coffee Märzen

We’re going back to Ethiopia – the homeland of coffee. We will find the magic that brought coffee to Europe and those enchanting aromas that have held us captive for hundreds of years. And here at the brewery, the only thing we can do with all those riches, is to put it into beer. The coffee was chosen by the KAFO coffee masters so now the slightly hand roasted Ethiopian coffee is in the bottle. In order to bring out all the shades of flavour of course.

Back to Ethiopia is a Märzen, flavoured with real Arabica coffee where the beer’s reserved character allows the coffee to shine.

Large Barn Oven

Large Barn Oven

Rye Stout

Estonians are rye nation. This grain was sacred to us already when the rest of the world considered rye to be a weed. We did live together with the grain after all. The threshing barn was the most important building in the farm – the sheaves were dried on the poles, threshing was done on the floor and in the chambers our ancestors grew up. The crown jewel of the threshing barn was the large barn oven. It warmed the chambers, cooking pots were simmering on its flames and deep in the belly of the oven the good black rye bread was baked.

Large Barn Oven is a rye stout which glows with the warmth of the barn oven and dignity of old times. Maybe you can fit around the Large Barn Oven to chat even nowadays, who knows.

Casper

Casper

Belgian Dark Strong Ale

On a tiny tropical island near Africa, a dog named Casper runs a Belgian-type bar where you can feast on Belgian ice cream, waffles, cocktails, and, of course, the beer. If such a distant place can keep a Belgian spirit, then we here in Estonia, can brew a Belgian beer.

Casper is Belgian dark strong ale that gets its fruity aroma from the Belgian yeast and the sweet taste from the Abbey malt.

32th august

32th august

Blond Ale

Once, a group of students decided that they would not accept the end of the summer. In this way, they had 32 August following 31 August instead of 1 September. And, for example, the first day of the New Year was 154 August. Lehe Pruulikoda’s 32 August is a light summer beer, which is available all year round.

It is for those who carry summer in their hearts through the dirt, frost and snow into a new year. Amarillo hops with its aroma of exotic fruits have taken a central place in this light-bodied beer.

Jolly Newfie

Jolly Newfie

Black IPA

If dogs are not against the grain, then at some point you surely have admired a Newfoundland (‘Newfs’ or ‘Newfies’). This dog is an eye catcher and with a reason – majestic, massive, and strong dog who shines with dignity and kindness.

This gentle giant has given the inspiration to “Jolly Newfie”. This beer is also large, black, and friendly. Pilsner malt, Vienna and Munich malt give the beer its powerful body, roasted malt gives the dark black color, Cascade and Citra Brand hops give the friendly taste of hops.

Unlike the dog breed legendary for its bravery, Newfie beer is unable to save your life. However, it can warm up a night out with friends.
